Guelph Men's Recreational - March 13, 2020 Message from the President
Submitted By Keith Sine on Friday, March 13, 2020
Current Plans for the Season

I hope everyone and their Families are healthy and well.  These are definitely interesting times that we are in.  I believe that we all appreciate that the information concerning the novel coronavirus is adapting daily.  The league is following the advice of Ontario and local health agencies in establishing our planning.

At present the league is proceeding with plans for both our regular opening stag dinner and a full season of ball.   Please appreciate that we may need to adjust those plans.

As guarded optimists we want to encourage the registration of both returning and new players to our great league.   We also want to assure everyone that in the extreme case that the entire 2020 season is cancelled that you will be provided a full refund of registration fees paid.  So you are not at risk from registering.   Your league is in a strong financial position and we will be well positioned even in the extreme and unfortunate case of a full year suspension.

So as the eternal optimist I encourage everyone to register in advance of our deadline of March 31st.   As always please feel free to email me directly if you have any questions or concerns at [email protected]   Thanks and I look forward to seeing everyone on the diamonds this year.

Reminder to register for those who have not yet

Reminder that registration is open for the coming season. Click on the registration link in the left menu bar to register.  The 2020 fees are:

  • $170 for single night registration up to March 31st, 2020 ($195 after March 31st, 2020)
  • An additional $60 to play-both-nights (no change)
  • Guest fee for the closing banquet is $30 (no change)
  • If you refer a new player to the league, you will receive $50 off your 2021 registration
