Good Day RCMSPL Coaches,
Welcome to the 2023 slo-pitch season.
The Executive has been hard at work getting the pieces in place for our 2023 season.
We have our next series of meetings set for the league to discuss the upcoming season.
Future Meeting Dates:
· March 28th @ 7:00 pm – ZOOM MEETING
· April 24th @7:00 pm – 8:30 pm – Location to be determined
The March meeting will be in a virtual format. The April meeting will be in person where you will collect your scorebooks, light keys, and balls for the season.
LEAGUE FEES
The league fees will remain unchanged for the 2023 season. The fees are $2,050 plus the top up of your performance bond, detailed below.
New Teams, your fee is $2,050 plus the performance bond of $200, plus the New Team fee of $100 for a total of $2,350.
We have calculated the numerous fines from the 2022 season. There were many forfeits, missed meetings and keys not returned. I have included the chart below detailing what each team owes to top up their performance bond and hold their spot in the league for the 2023 season.
· If the total is red in the last column, that is what you owe to top up your performance bond.
· If the total is black in the last column, that amount will be reduced from your 2023 league fees.
· To help explain the chart, if you were the cause of a forfeit, you owe $75 ($25 to the league, $50 to the opposing team for the lost game)
· Missed meeting carries a $50 fine.
· Not returning your key to the city in time carries a $200 fine.
· We start with your $200 performance bond then subtract or add accordingly
· For example, The Aces of Bases were forfeited against, so they have a $50 credit. The Misfits were forfeited against but also missed a meeting so the two fines wash each other out
As discussed in 2022, the first payment to the league is $1,200, plus your performance bond top up. This is due PRIOR to March 28th in order to have a spot in the league for the 2023 season. Please send your payment to Brandi via EMT at [email protected] with the password Slopitch2023!
If you fail to pay your fees to the league prior to March 28th, you will be removed from the league. We use this payment as your commitment to finalize the divisional alignment and develop our schedules for the year.
If you are not returning to the league in 2023, please let me know as this could affect the divisional alignment.
I will be sending out the March 28th meeting reminder closer to the day and will include the ZOOM login information.
