RCMSPL AGM Information
Good day Gentlemen,

We have set the meeting date and time for the AGM.  It will be a ZOOM meeting on March 28th at 7:00pm.  The link and password will be sent on the day of the meeting.

I have attached the agenda for the meeting which contains the topics that will be discussed including two Constitutional Proposals for Division 1.  Both proposals speak to the pitching height in Division 1 being a 12’ maximum and making changes to that rule.  Please poll your players and be ready to vote on whether to keep the 12’ maximum height, revert to unlimited height as in the rest of the league, or placing a cap on the number of runs scored per inning.  This vote will take place at the meeting by ONLY the division 1 teams listed below and the majority vote will rule.

In the agenda attached, you will find the divisional alignment for the 2022 season including where the teams finished in the 2019 and 2021 season.  Please review not only the division you’re in but also where your opponents placed in the last two years of competition.  We have put a LOT of thought into the divisions and feel this is the fairest alignment given the challenges all teams have faced in the last two years.  I believe you will find it to be the fairest alignment with solid competition in each division.  We said that we wouldn’t use the 2021 season as our only guide to the 2022 divisional alignment and we didn’t.  We used the 2019 final standings while referencing the 2021 season as a backup source.

As you can see:

  • Division 1 consists of the 2019 B division, plus the only 2019 A division team left in the league and the winner of B division in 2021 as they placed higher than two of the other teams in the B division in 2021
  • Division 2 consists of the 2019 C division, less one, top two finishers of the 2019 D division and the Black Sox who have won their respective divisions the last two years and two new teams who feel they are in the correct level of competition as they both have strong SPO ranked players on their roster
  • Division 3 consists of the 2019 D and E divisions, less one, and two new teams that feel they are in the correct division

Please ensure you are on time for the meeting.  We will be taking attendance and there are fines associated with missing the meeting.  If you cannot make the meeting, send a representative to attend in your place.

If you have any questions, please reach out to me directly.

Thanks,

Jon
