2022 Season Startup
It’s finally time to reveal everything we have put together.

We will have a Zoom meeting on Tuesday April 19th at 7pm to be used mainly as a question/answer period. If you have any questions that aren’t already answered then send them to me to add to the list for the Zoom.

Helmets and/or Protective Facemasks – while these are not mandatory, SPO and the league encourages players to wear helmets while on offense, or Masks while pitching, or when they are on the field in general. Pitchers are also encouraged to wear a pitching mask including helmet portion. SUNDAY Pitching Helmets are MANDATORY

If your Umpire is not present at game time then contact UIC Terry Sawyer (his number will be in your book and is also on the website) He will be able to contact the necessary people. Calling me just delays the process as I will just be calling Terry.

SPO Insurance. ALL teams are currently registered with SPO and Team Contacts have been attached to those teams. It is now up to you to get players to register and then you can add them to your roster. It is every player’s responsibility to register themselves with SPO which includes full payment by each player. We need to do a better job of satisfying this requirement this year than we did last year. GTCSPL will monitor this throughout the year and enforce deadlines. ALL players MUST be registered before they can play. This includes ALL part time or Spares. $16.95 cost to save $$$$$$ if ever needed.
REMINDER, there are many players on the FREE AGENT page on the website looking for teams. If you are still looking for some late additions, you may find them there.

BAT POLICY –we will no longer be testing and stickering bats The only bats allowed will contain one of the 2 thumbprint logos. Umpires will be checking for the stamps and will advise if any bat needs to be removed prior to game starting. ANY bat that does not have one of these stamps is not legal for use. If any player is caught using an illegal bat, they will be ejected from the game and subject to further discipline. If you are not familiar with Bat stamps, then please ask before you go and buy any new bats.

All League fees are due in full prior to the walk through meeting
Meeting will be on Wednesday April 27th -Louie’s on Lewis 84 Lewis Rd 7pm-815pm You will sign and hand in Waiver (if not already sent), pick up balls, scorebooks, keys (if needed) and any other pertinent info.
There is no need to stick around unless you have further questions.
Good luck with the season!
